By becoming a member of the photographer directory after a submission review, you can increase your visibility considerably. Brides and grooms come to this site when they are looking for a creative professional who can take traditional posed group shots (well, you can spice them up a little!) but also has their own unique vision and sensibility.
Membership is based on the quality of your website. If you're interested in being part of the directory, email the url of your website to info@theweddingpicture.biz. We need to make sure it's technically up-to-speed. (Yes, we are discriminating here.) Your website is your #1 selling tool beside your businesslike, yet warm, personality. Websites need to be easy to navigate, have clean, easy-to-understand language, and have images that are technically proficient as well as artistic! If your site is accepted, the cost to be in the directory is $80 for 6 months or $150 for a year.

There are two forums- the Photographer Forum and the Wedding Forum. Right now, these are open to all photographers whether or not they're in the directory. On the private discussion board for photographers only, you can get support, ask questions and share information and research. You can network and help other photographers, find second shooters, ask about locations, etc. To become a member, first sign up on the Forum home page (using the "Sign up" link on the right hand side) and then email info@theweddingpicture.biz to request membership to the private Photographer Forum. Be sure to include your forum user name in the email!
On the Wedding Forum, you can network by answering questions from couples. By being generous and offering advice, you are marketing your business, showing your expertise and of course, letting potential clients know what a wonderful person you are. Plus, if you're like me, questions and ideas from brides have helped me tremendously over the years in becoming a better business person!
